Environmental Accountability, Not Greenwashing
Environmental targets are commitments, not guarantees. Public sector evaluators assess credibility based on transparency, not perfection. Pro Energise reports progress honestly — including shortfalls — because silence and unsubstantiated claims are penalised far more heavily than honest reporting with clear remediation plans.
Our environmental commitments are underpinned by ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification. The environmental management system provides the governance framework for our sustainability targets — from carbon reduction planning through to per-project waste management and environmental reporting.
Carbon Reduction Plan
Aligned to PPN 06/21 requirements. Scope 1 and 2 emissions baseline measurement underway with publication targeted June 2026 — brought forward from Q3 to ensure availability for early public tender submissions. Annual carbon reporting from 2027. Many SMEs in the £25k–£500k range do not have a Carbon Reduction Plan at all — even an interim position with confirmed publication date is a competitive advantage in procurement scoring.
CRP milestones
- Scope 1 and 2 emissions baseline measurement by May 2026
- Published Carbon Reduction Plan by June 2026
- Annual carbon reporting from 2027
- Interim estimates provided with tender submissions alongside confirmed publication date
- Fleet fuel consumption and energy bills used for interim Scope 1 and 2 estimates
- Scope 3 (supply chain) assessment planned for 2027 — initial emission mapping in development
Scope 3 Emissions
Scope 3 emissions (supply chain and indirect emissions) are not currently included in our Carbon Reduction Plan baseline. We recognise that PPN 06/21 and public sector procurement criteria are increasingly extending to Scope 3. We will include Scope 3 assessment in our CRP development programme, with initial supply chain emission mapping planned for 2027.
Fleet Electrification
Current fleet of 35+ vehicles with a structured replacement roadmap. Target 25% electric or hybrid by end 2027, rising to 40–50% by end 2028. Full fleet replacement roadmap developed by Q2 2026. Electric van availability remains constrained with 6–12 month lead times, and charging infrastructure at depots may lag behind vehicle procurement. If the 25% target is not met by end 2027, Pro Energise will report actual fleet composition, document order dates and delivery timelines, and present an updated roadmap.
Fleet targets
- 25% electric or hybrid by end 2027
- 40–50% electric or hybrid by end 2028
- Full fleet replacement roadmap by Q2 2026
- Actual fleet composition reported if targets are not met
- Order dates and delivery timelines documented for evidence
Waste & Materials
Target 85%+ waste diversion from landfill on all projects. Waste segregation and diversion reporting on every project with material waste reduction tracking. If the 85% rate is not achieved on specific projects, the actual figure is reported alongside root cause analysis and corrective actions. Common causes include hazardous waste from older buildings and contaminated materials that cannot be recycled.
Waste controls
- 85%+ waste diversion from landfill target on all projects
- Waste segregation and diversion reporting per project
- Material waste reduction tracking
- Root cause analysis for any project below target
- Corrective actions documented and implemented
Per-Project Environmental Reporting
All environmental commitments are tracked in Contracts OS with per-project reporting capability. This is not an annual corporate report — it is project-level data that feeds into framework KPI evidence and client reporting.
- Project-level environmental data tracked in Contracts OS
- Feeds directly into framework KPI evidence packs
- Client-accessible environmental performance reports
- Waste diversion, fleet usage, and carbon data per project
Delivering Sustainability Outcomes for Clients
Beyond our own environmental commitments, the electrical services we deliver directly support our clients' sustainability targets. For organisations with Carbon Reduction Plans under PPN 06/21, we provide documented carbon reduction evidence for each project — formatted for procurement reporting and framework sustainability scoring.
LED Lighting Retrofits
Reduce building energy consumption by 50–70%, with documented pre- and post-installation energy data provided as part of every handover pack.
LED Lighting RetrofitsEV Infrastructure
Support fleet electrification and Scope 1 emission reduction for organisations transitioning from ICE vehicles.
EV InfrastructureCompliance Upgrades
Improve electrical efficiency through modern circuit protection, power factor correction, and energy monitoring.
Compliance UpgradesThe Transparency Principle
Never hide a miss. Report transparently, explain the cause, present corrective actions, and show the trajectory is still positive. Evaluators penalise silence and unsubstantiated claims far more heavily than honest shortfalls with clear remediation plans. Most SME competitors either make inflated claims or say nothing. Pro Energise reports honestly.
- Shortfalls reported with root cause analysis
- Corrective actions presented with every miss
- Positive trajectory demonstrated over time
- Credibility through honesty, not perfection
