Where You'll Work
We keep engineers regional wherever possible. You will be assigned to projects within a manageable travel distance, typically within your local area across the Midlands, South East, or East of England. You will be provided with a company vehicle and travel to project sites directly — there is no requirement to report to the office daily. Our operating area covers up to 100 miles from our Bedford headquarters, but day-to-day you will be working on sites close to home.
What You'll Work On
Experienced Electricians
As a Pro Energise electrician, you will work on structured compliance programmes across public sector, commercial, and healthcare estates. Typical projects include EICR testing and compliance upgrade programmes across managed portfolios, LED lighting retrofits for commercial landlords, distribution board replacements in care homes and schools, and electrical installations in occupied buildings where quality and minimal disruption are non-negotiable. Projects range from £25k to £500k, delivered as part of programmed works — not reactive call-outs.
Apprentices
As a Pro Energise apprentice, you will work alongside experienced, ECS Gold Card qualified electricians on live commercial projects from day one. Your first months will focus on assisting with cable routing, containment installation, and basic circuit work under direct supervision. Off-the-job training with our external training partner covers the theory and technical knowledge required for your Level 3 qualification. As you progress, you will take on more responsibility — from circuit testing through to independent task completion under qualified supervision.
Apprenticeship Programme
Level 3 Electrical Installation pathway with a 24-month structured programme. Every apprentice has a designated internal mentor and a formalised training partner for off-the-job learning.
Pro Energise has a strategic commitment to apprenticeships — targeting 1 apprentice per £1m non-EV revenue. This is not a token programme. It is an auditable social value commitment tracked through Contracts OS and reported in tender submissions.
Our apprenticeship programme is a core part of our social value commitment — tracked and reported through Contracts OS as auditable evidence for framework and public sector contract delivery.
