AJN Steelstock
Electrical installation for heavy industrial steel distribution — power upgrades and cable management within an active warehouse environment
Scope of Works
Pro Energise delivered electrical installation works at AJN Steelstock's heavy industrial distribution facility. The scope included new power circuit installations, lighting upgrades across warehouse bays, and external lighting for loading areas.
The installation was completed on programme with zero snags at handover. Works were coordinated around crane operations and steel handling activities, with all operatives briefed on the specific hazards of the heavy industrial environment.
What This Project Demonstrates
- Heavy industrial delivery — steel distribution facility with overhead cranes and heavy material handling
- Zero snags at handover — clean completion, no remediation required
- Hazardous environment awareness — operatives briefed on steel distribution-specific risks
- Internal and external scope — warehouse bay lighting and loading area external lighting
- Delivered on programme — completion to agreed timeline

Delivery Controls Applied
This project was delivered under Pro Energise's structured commercial delivery framework, including:
- Operatives briefed on steel distribution environment hazards including crane operations and heavy material handling
- Works coordinated around crane movements and loading schedules
- Digital QA evidence capture
- Commissioning and handover with zero snags
Project delivery tracked through our Contracts OS management platform.
From 2026, all commercial projects are formally tracked against defined KPI measures.
Environment & Sector Context
Steel distribution facilities are among the most hazardous industrial environments for electrical works. Overhead cranes moving heavy steel stock create exclusion zones that shift throughout the working day. Loading areas have constant vehicle movements. Electrical contractors must plan works dynamically around these operations.
The lighting scope — warehouse bays and external loading areas — is particularly relevant. Industrial lighting must deliver high lux levels for safe material handling and vehicle operations, often at significant mounting heights requiring access equipment coordinated around operational activity.
